1st tier, 2nd tier - what's it all mean?

A first tier referral is a hosting account you refer yourself via word of mouth, affiliate links on your site, PPC advertising etc. - just as you usually would with affiliate programs. For those we pay you a very healthy $100 each.

A second tier referral is where you refer other webmasters to our affiliate program (there's no need for you or them to have a ThinkHost hosting account) - you'll receive up to $65 for each account they refer! These "sub-affiliates" are like your own sales force! 

Another example where you will be paid a 2nd tier commission is when someone you referred signs up for a hosting account, joins our affiliate program and then starts referring customers. Same deal - you get up to $65 in each instance!
