You can use this htaccess generator to prevent people from certain IP addresses, domains or even countries from gaining access to your site or to specific folders.

» To block a specific IP, just type in the full IP address - e.g. 192.168.1.1 
» To block a range of IP's, use a partial IP address - e.g. 192.168.1
» To block a particular domain, type in the domain without the www
» To block a country, type in the tail extension - e.g. .au 

Add as many entries as you like, one at a time, clicking "add" after each entry. Then copy and paste the generated code into a plain text file. Name this file .htaccess (note the "." before the file name and there's no tail extension). 

If there's already a .htaccess file in the root of your docs directory or the folder where you wish to apply this, add the generated code to the end of the current .htaccess file; being careful not to disturb the existing code. Upload in ASCII mode when you're done.
