What is peace?
Simply put - it's the absence of conflict; between each other and between us
and our planet. Peace has little to do with politics as sadly, modern politics is all
about conflict - at this point of our evolution anyway. Conflict, whether it's
for the so-called greater good or not, evades the core concepts of peace.
We hope that someday the "battle" for peace is a more pro-active
one instead of just a pitting of two sides against each other, with the loudest
one with the deepest coffers often winning - but in the meantime, political processes are one of the few things
we have in achieving the elusive concept of real peace; it's a necessary stage.
It's why we strongly support grass roots democracy.
